Tide Plotter streams add on gives the facility to enter a route, set the start time and date, and estimated speed. The tidal vectors are then calculated and shown as a secondary green line on the outline chart. The points of the route can be moved with a point and click of the mouse. This is only suitable for offshore passage making, it is not for inshore coast hopping.
This makes a useful passage planning tool and establishes the predicted course over the ground taking into account the effect of the tidal stream.
The left hand side of the screen presents a list of points on your route giving the time, range and bearing. The end point of the route can be easily moved to ensure the green tidal vector line terminates at your destination.
